Steve Palmer joined The Sullivan Group in 2015 to provide investor and executive level financial and operational consulting services.  As a successful former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and operating executive with a track record of building significant shareholder value for private equity backed companies, Steve’s unique insight into the financial and operating metrics of workers’ compensation vendors and service providers helps differentiate The Sullivan Group from other consulting firms.  Steve’s detailed accounting and financial expertise provides the foundation for his “hands-on” experience including buy-side and sell-side merger and acquisition due diligence, product pricing and margin analysis, strategic financial planning, debt/leverage management, re-capitalization plans, project management and operational management.

 

 

Prior to joining The Sullivan Group, Steve served as the Chief Financial Officer of PMSI (now Helios) where he was responsible for the overall financial affairs of this $400+ million workers’ compensation pharmacy benefits management (“PBM”) and other cost containment services company.  Steve joined PMSI in conjunction with private equity purchase of company in 2009 and participated in the sale process with the private equity firm in 2013.

 

Prior to his interim role at PMSI, Steve served as Chief Financial Officer at Gould & Lamb LLC (G&L) where he was responsible for overall financial affairs of this $40 million insurance services company.  Steve’s employment with G&L commenced in conjunction with the private equity purchase of the company in 2006.

 

Steve also has extensive CFO and financial operating experience in the cabling and wireless construction industry along with a history of successful private equity backed company acquisitions and exits.
